North Carolina Defense Attorney - Expungement
If you were arrested for a crime in the past and your charges have impeded your ability to get a job, an expungement may be the answer for you. To speak with a criminal defense attorney about the expungement of your criminal arrest records, contact the Jones Law Firm in Greenville, North Carolina.
If you have questions about an expungement, we offer a free consultation. To schedule an appointment with attorney Steven R. Jones, call 252-848-4421.
How Can an Expungement Help?
If you apply for a job, your employer may be able to find evidence of your arrest records, even if your charges were dismissed or you were found not guilty. Through an expungement, you can have your arrest records sealed. In addition, if you are asked on a job application if you were convicted of a crime, you may say no.
What Charges Can be Expunged
Not all charges may be expunged. Misdemeanor charges may be eligible for expungement. More serious charges may not be eligible for expungement. Speeding tickets and other minor traffic tickets are infractions and generally are not eligible for expungement. Serious traffic offenses may be eligible for expungement, however.
